"New Orleans is a record that manages to feel deeply personal, soulful and uniquely American; with 29 year old Bucaro's voice sounding like the perfect cross between Ben Harper and Brett Dennen." – THE MUSIC FILE
"Recalling the laid back folk/soul vibe of early Van Morrison and the pensive and personal lyricism of Jackson Browne, Clarence Bucaro has quietly carved out his own special niche of singer/songwriter: a strumming acoustic romanticism tempered with a classic R+B undercurrent of Hammond B3 fills, rhythmic bass lines and gospel inspired harmonies." – DIRECT CURRENT
Produced by Anders Osborne

New Orleans, the new release from Clarence Bucaro on Hyena Records is a set of 10 intimate songs brought to life by the Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter's passionate falsetto vocals infused with the flowing spirit of the Big Easy. Named after the city where it was written and recorded, New Orleans was produced by Anders Osborne and features a stellar band, including Kirk Joseph (founding member of Dirty Dozen Brass Band), Doug Belote and Mike Burkhart. Dripping with romance, despair and the restlessness of youth, it documents an intense love affair with the enchanting Crescent City as a backdrop. The final results range from the sweet syncopated soul of "Let Me Let Go of You," the pleading gospel-tinged "Light in Your Eyes" and the intimate ballad "Matters of the Heart." Bucaro's warm tone paired with his love worn lyrics and heartfelt delivery has drawn comparisons to artists like Jackson Browne, Van Morrison, Marc Broussard and Amos Lee. Yet it's his own unique voice and vision that ultimately turns New Orleans into the sweet soul rock gem that it is.
